So you would like to get your reports of the current convention added to our site? Here’s what you have to do.
Write to us
(See our Contacts page) Give us some information about how to find your work on the Internet. Things we might be interested in include:
- Your name or handle
- A photo (80 x 80 pixels, please)
- The name and URL of your blog or LiveJournal
- The RSS feed of your blog or LiveJournal
- The URL of your Twitter page
- The RSS feed of your Twitter page
- A URL and RSS feed for your photo stream (e.g. Flickr, Picasa)
- A URL and RSS feed for your audio stream (e.g. AudioBoo)
- A URL and RSS feed for your video stream (e.g. YouTube)
- The URL of your Facebook page
- Where in the world you are from (city & country)
- A paragraph or two telling people about yourself
- The areas of the convention you are most interested in (see our Categories list)
Obviously if you don’t have all of those things you don’t need to send them. And if you are uneasy about giving away your home location the nearest big city will do.
And then…
Our editors will check out what you send us, and if it looks OK we’ll add you to our site. Simple as that.
I’m afraid we do have to check you out though. If we just allowed people to sign up then we’d soon be inundated by people wanting to sell little blue pills or pictures of naked people.
Rules of Engagement
One more thing. There are a few rules we would like you to abide by. If we noticed you breaking these rules we may have to remove you from the site.
- Go easy on the commercialism. Obviously writers will want to mention their books and so on, but if your blog ends up just being one long advertisement for commercial services then we’ll drop you. We want news, not advertising.
- No flame wars, please. This service is all about reports from conventions. It isn’t here to give you a platform for a personal vendetta.
